Description
Interleukin-3 (IL-3) is a hematopoietic growth factor that promotes the survival, differentiation, and proliferation of committed progenitor cells of the megakaryocyte, granulocyte-macrophage, erythroid, eosinophil, basophil, and mast cell lineages. IL-3 is produced by T cells, mast cells, and eosinophils, and can enhance thrombopoiesis, phagocytosis, and antibody-mediated cytotoxicity. Its ability to activate mononuclear cells suggests that IL-3 may have additional immunomodulatory roles. Many IL-3 activities depend on co-stimulation with other cytokines.
Recombinant IL-3 is a 15.0 kDa recombinant protein containing 133 amino acid residues. This product is expressed in E. coli and provided as a lyophilized powder. It features high activity, high purity, low endotoxin, and is tag-free.
