uPA is a serine protease with an extremely limited substrate specificity, cleaving the sequence Cys-Pro-Gly-Arg560-
Val561-Val-Gly-Gly-Cys in plasminogen to form plasmin. uPA is a potent marker of invasion and metastasis in a variety of human cancers associated with breast, stomach, colon, bladder, ovary, brain and endometrium.

Human PLAU/uPA Protein (active form) is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag at the C-terminal. It contains Ser21-Leu431, which consists of two chains: Long chain A (Ser21-Phe177) and chain B (Ile179-Leu 431). The long chain A is further cleaved to yield a short chain A (Lys156-Phe 177) and N-terminal fragment (Ser21-Lys155). |

Molecular Weight |
The protein has a predicted MW of 47.5 kDa. Due to protein lysis and glycosylation, the protein migrates to 24-26 kDa(long chain A), 35-38 kDa(chain B) and 52-60 kDa(long chain A&chain B) based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. |

Reconstitution |
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL` is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. |
Storage
The products are shipped with ice pack and can be stored at -20℃ for 1 year.
2-7 days, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 -6 months, -20 to -80°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
