The 1× ssDNA Assay Kit is a simple, sensitive, and accurate fluorescent quantification kit for single-stranded DNA (ssDNA), demonstrating excellent linearity within the range of 1–200 ng. This kit includes a fluorescent detection working solution and corresponding ssDNA standards. The assay is straightforward: simply mix the detection working solution with the ssDNA sample and read using a fluorescence microplate reader or a Qubit fluorometer. While the kit does not exhibit higher selectivity for ssDNA over double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), it shows good tolerance to common contaminants such as proteins, salts, and detergents.

This product should be stored at 2~8℃ for 1 year. Protect from light and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.

2. Contaminant tolerance

MgCl2 significantly interferes with the measurement, whereas other impurities have minimal effect. The dye preferentially binds ssDNA but is not strictly ssDNA-specific; therefore, dsDNA contamination in samples should be minimized.
