Beskrivelse
Interleukin-38 (IL-38) is a cytokine with a molecular weight of 16.87 kDa, consisting of 152 amino acid residues, and belongs to the interleukin-1 (IL-1) family. IL-38 is primarily secreted by basal epithelial cells of the skin, as well as by B cells in the tonsils, spleen, and thymus. Upon binding to receptors such as IL1RAPL1 and IL-36R, IL-38 plays a crucial role in inflammation and host defense by mediating the NF-κB, AP-1, and JNK signaling pathways. Furthermore, IL-38 is involved in downregulating cell proliferation and migration, while upregulating the expression of IL-6 and IL-10.

Reconstitution Instructions |
Briefly centrifuge the vial at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized powder with sterile water to a concentration of no less than 100 μg/mL, and let it stand for at least 20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution. The reconstituted solution can be further diluted and aliquoted. When performing further dilution and aliquoting, a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA) must be added. For serum-free experimental requirements, a 5% trehalose solution can be used as an alternative carrier. |
Storage
Store at -25 to -15°C. Valid for 1 year from receipt. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8°C for up to 7 days, or at -85 to -65°C for up to 3 months. To avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting the protein upon first use.
