The Hieff NGS™ MagSP rRNA Removal Kit (Prokaryote) with Purification Beads uses streptavidin-labeled magnetic beads to deplete ribosomal RNA from prokaryotic (universal across bacteria and archaea) total RNA, thereby enriching messenger RNA (mRNA) and other non-coding RNAs. The kit delivers efficient rRNA removal from both intact and partially degraded total RNA. The rRNA-depleted RNA is suitable for downstream applications including high-throughput sequencing of mRNA and non-coding RNA—which markedly increases the proportion of informative reads—as well as cDNA synthesis and other downstream uses.
