คำอธิบาย
IInterleukin-9 (IL-9) is primarily expressed by activated T cells. IL-9 exerts its biological effects by binding to its specific receptor, IL-9Rα. It promotes Th2-type immune responses and is involved in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, such as asthma and atopic dermatitis. Furthermore, IL-9 supports the growth of helper T cells in an IL-2 and IL-4-independent manner, and promotes the proliferation of mast cells, erythroid progenitor cells, and other cell types.
