Description
TRIeasy™ Total RNA Extraction Reagent is a total RNA extraction reagent suitable for various animal and plant tissues, as well as bacterial tissues and cells. It has a strong lysis capability, allowing for the rapid lysis of cell and tissue samples while effectively inhibiting RNA degradation, thus maintaining RNA integrity. Samples can be fully lysed in this reagent, followed by the addition of chloroform and centrifugation to form a supernatant layer, interphase, and organic layer (bright red lower layer). RNA is distributed in the upper aqueous phase, and after collecting the supernatant, total RNA can be obtained through isopropanol precipitation. The extracted total RNA has high purity, with minimal protein and genomic DNA contamination, and can be directly used in various molecular biology experiments such as Northern blotting, dot hybridization, mRNA purification, in vitro translation, RT-PCR, poly(A)+ selection, RNase protection analysis, and constructing cDNA libraries.
In addition, DNA and proteins in the sample can also be recovered through precipitation. Ethanol precipitation can extract DNA from the interphase, while adding isopropanol to the organic phase can precipitate proteins. This product is simple and quick to operate, with all procedures completed within one hour. It has good lysis efficiency for small amounts of tissue (50-100 mg) and cells (5×10 6 ), as well as larger amounts of tissue (≥1 g) and cells (>10 7 ).
