Descrizione
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a pleiotropic cytokine with diverse biological functions, playing a crucial role in both the immune system and other physiological processes. It is involved in host defense against infections and tissue injuries, acting as a mediator of the acute-phase response, stimulating B and T cell activation and differentiation, and inducing the production of acute-phase proteins like C-reactive protein (CRP). IL-6 also has roles in hematopoiesis, muscle metabolism, and even impacts the brain.
This product is expressed in Escherichia coli and provided in liquid form, with the characteristics of high activity, high purity, and low endotoxin.
Application
Promotes the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).
Induces the maturation of immature dendritic cells (iDCs) into mature dendritic cells (mDCs).
Participates in the expansion and modulation of other immune cells, such as B cells, T cells, and NK cells.
