Beskrivning
Activin A is a member of the TGF-β family and exhibits a wide range of biological activities, including the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, as well as the promotion of neuronal survival. Elevated levels of Activin A in human colorectal cancer and postmenopausal women are associated with colorectal cancer and breast cancer, respectively. The biological activity of Activin A can be neutralized by inhibin and the diffusible TGF-β antagonist follistatin. Activin A binds to two forms of Activin Receptor Type I (ActR-I-A and ActR-I-B) and two forms of Type II receptors (ActR-II-A and ActR-II-B). Activins are homodimers or heterodimers of various β subunits. They are produced as precursor proteins with an N-terminal propeptide, which is cleaved to release the C-terminal bioactive ligand.

Storage
Store at -25 ~ -15°C. Valid for 1 year from the date of receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge before opening the vial. It is recommended to aliquot into single-use portions for each experiment.
