Beskrivning
Activin B is a cytokine belonging to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) family. It is a protein with a molecular weight of 12.9 kDa and consists of 116 amino acid residues. Activin B exhibits a wide range of biological functions, including stem cell differentiation, inflammation, bone remodeling, and neurodevelopment. It is also involved in regulating the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Furthermore, Activin B induces the phosphorylation of Smad proteins and their binding to Smad-binding elements.

Reconstitution Instructions |
Briefly centrifuge the vial at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized powder with sterile water to a concentration of no less than 100 μg/mL, and let it stand for at least 20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution. The reconstituted solution can be further diluted and aliquoted. When performing further dilution and aliquoting, a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA) must be added. For serum-free experimental requirements, a 5% trehalose solution can be used as an alternative carrier. |
Storage
Store at -25 to -15°C. Valid for 1 year from receipt. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8°C for up to 7 days, or at -85 to -65°C for up to 3 months. To avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting the protein upon first use.
