Description

Firefly Luciferase  saRNA is usually used as an internal reference RNA to study the expression of targeted RNAs. Firefly Luciferase (Firefly luc) expresses a luciferase protein originally extracted from fireflies. This enzyme, dependent on ATP, catalyzes the oxidation of D-luciferin, producing chemiluminescence at approximately 560 nm wavelength. Firefly luc is a commonly used bioluminescent reporter gene for gene regulation and functional studies, emitting bioluminescence in the presence of the substrate luciferin. Firefly luc saRNA is synthesized and purified in a single step from a linear template via T7 transcriptase and the LZCap AU cap analog. This mRNA, upon entering cells, expresses the luciferase protein. Compared to the Cap0 structure and other commercially available Cap1 structures, the LZCap AU Cap1 structure enables more efficient and sustained RNA expression. LZCap AU Firefly luc saRNA stock solution is suitable for experiments involving RNA delivery, translation efficiency, transfection efficiency, and in vivo imaging.
