Description
Macrophage colony stimulating factor 1, also known as CSF-1 and M-CSF, is a one-way membrane protein that forms homodimers or heterodimers via disulfide bonds. M-CSF is a major regulator of macrophage survival, proliferation and differentiation. M-CSF can promote monocyte survival, monocyte transformation to macrophage and macrophage proliferation.
