Description
IL-33 is a 30 kDa pro-inflammatory protein. IL-33 is constitutively expressed in smooth muscle and airway epithelium. It is upregulated in arterial smooth muscle, dermal fibroblasts, and keratinocytes following stimulation with IL-1 alpha or IL-1 beta. The C-terminal fragment of mature IL-33 binds to and triggers signaling through the mast cell IL-1 R4/ST2L, an orphan receptor long implicated in enhancing Th2 cell responses. Subsequently, IL-33 and ST2L associate with IL-1R AcP to form a ternary signaling complex. Stimulation of Th2-polarized lymphocytes with mature IL-33 in vitro induces IL-5 and IL-13 secretion. Administration of mature IL-33 in vivo promotes increased production of IL-5, IL-13, IgE, and IgA, as well as splenomegaly and inflammatory infiltration of mucosal tissues. Full-length and mature human IL-33 share 52-58% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat IL-33.
This product is provided as a lyophilized powder and features high purity, high activity, and low endotoxin.

Storage
Store at -25 ~ -15°C. Valid for 1 year upon receipt.
After reconstitution, store at 2 ~ 8°C for up to 30 days, or at -85 ~ -65°C for up to 3 months.
Reconstitution Method
Centrifuge before opening the vial to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL, and can be further diluted according to subsequent experiments. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add carrier protein (0.1% BSA) to the dilution buffer. Aliquot into single-use portions, freeze at -80°C, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
