Description
This product is produced by gene recombination technology, expressed by rice endosperm cells and purified through protein purification process. It is provided in the form of lyophilized powder.
Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma. It is a transporter of hormones, lipids and other substances. Its main physiological function is to regulate plasma pH and maintain plasma osmotic pressure. HSA is a recombinant human serum albumin derived from genetically modified rice. It does not contain animal-derived components and can provide a safer choice for serum-free culture medium. Compared with fetal bovine serum (FBS), plasma-derived albumin (pHSA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA), HSA has higher purity and better batch stability. At the same time, HSA is also widely used as an excipient, stabilizer and embedding agent in biopharmaceutical production.
This product can be applied to:
(1) mammalian cell culture;
(2) vaccine production and preparation;
(3) in vitro/in vivo disease diagnosis;
(4) cell cryopreservation;
(5) embedding agent for medical devices;
(6) cosmetic use.

Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute HSA lyophilized powder with sterile PBS solution to 100 mg/mL. Other solvents can be used for further dilution. Use as soon as possible after opening to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Notes
1. Avoid vigorous shaking or stirring during the dissolution process to reduce the generation of bubbles.
2. When dissolving 10-100 mg/mL HSA lyophilized powder, due to the high concentration and long dissolution time, avoid using a gun tip or glass rod to stir, so as to prevent the lyophilized powder from sticking and not easy to fall off. A vortex oscillator or stirring rotor can be used to accelerate the dissolution.
3. After the lyophilized powder is completely dissolved, it needs to be filtered and sterilized with a 0.22μm disposable syringe filter, and sealed with a sealing film after aliquoting. 2~8℃, it can be stably stored for 3-6 months; if long-term storage is required, it is recommended to place it at -20℃ to avoid contamination and repeated freezing and thawing.
4. The sterile HSA solution can be further diluted into the culture medium as needed. In cell culture, the recommended addition amount of HSA is 0.5-2.0 g/L (0.05%-0.2%), and the concentration of HSA in some culture media can reach 5.0 g/L (0.5%).
5. The maximum reconstitution concentration of HSA lyophilized powder can reach 200 mg/mL. The higher the concentration, the more difficult it is to dissolve and the longer the dissolution time is. As the concentration increases, the color of the solution becomes darker.
