Description

The HieffTM Micro Total RNA Kit utilizes a universal column technology for trace DNA removal and RNA adsorption, combined with a novel solution system, to efficiently extract total RNA from samples such as trace animal cells, microdissected tissues, and easily lysed animal tissues. The streamlined workflow is simple to operate, allowing RNA extraction to be completed within 8 minutes. The processing range generally covers cell counts from 1 to 5×10⁵ or tissue samples weighing less than 5 mg.

By integrating the universal column technology with a specialized reagent formulation, this kit effectively removes gDNA contamination without the need for DNase digestion. Consequently, the purified RNA is free of DNA contamination and is directly compatible with downstream applications, including reverse transcription, quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR), and high-throughput sequencing library preparation.

Features

  • Ultra-fast: RNA extraction in as little as 8 minutes
  • Non-toxic & safe: No chloroform or phenol required
  • Ideal for low-input samples: Works with as few as a single cell
  • High yield: Ultra-micro spin columns enable efficient RNA binding and recovery

Notes

1. To prevent evaporation, oxidation, and pH changes caused by prolonged exposure to air, promptly close the caps of all solutions after use.

2. Check for precipitation or turbidity in the solutions (especially in low-temperature environments such as winter). If present, incubate at 37°C until the solution becomes clear again to ensure optimal performance.

3. Do not exceed the sample processing capacity of the DNA removal/RNA adsorption column, as this may result in DNA contamination or reduced yield. For example, do not process more than 5×10⁵ cells or 5 mg of tissue.

4. The spin column is designed for ultra-low volume purification and can theoretically extract RNA from a single cell. The micro grinding pestle can be washed and reused.

5. Lysis Buffer Plus and Protein Removal Buffer Plus contain irritating compounds. Wear latex gloves to avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with plenty of water or saline solution.

6. For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves when handling this product.
