Description

eSpCas9 mRNA encodes an engineered Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (eSpCas9) protein with enhanced expression specificity. When delivered into cells or in vivo for CRISPR-based gene and cell therapies, it expresses the S. pyogenes Cas9 nuclease with more than 10-fold reduction in off-target effects, while maintaining robust on-target editing efficiency.

This mRNA features a Cap1 structure to enhance translation efficiency and protein expression levels, and includes a 100-nucleotide poly(A) tail that mimics mature eukaryotic mRNA, significantly improving its stability.
