Beschrijving
BTN2A1, also known as butyrophilin subfamily 2 member A1, is a protein that belongs to the butyrophilin family. It is primarily expressed in mammary gland epithelial cells and plays a role in lactation. BTN2A1 is involved in the synthesis and secretion of milk fat globules, which are essential for providing nutrition to newborns.
