Beschrijving
Interleukin-1α (IL-1α), also known as hematopoietin-1, is a cytokine with a molecular weight of 17.65 kDa, comprising 159 amino acid residues. IL-1α is primarily expressed in macrophages, neutrophils, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells. Upon binding to the IL-1 receptor, it mediates various biological processes, such as cell proliferation, angiogenesis, interleukin-2 production, and cellular sodium homeostasis. Furthermore, IL-1α plays a critical role in immune responses, including fever and inflammation, and induces tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).

Reconstitution Instructions |
Briefly centrifuge the vial at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized powder with sterile water to a concentration of no less than 100 μg/mL, and let it stand for at least 20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution. The reconstituted solution can be further diluted and aliquoted. When performing further dilution and aliquoting, a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 10% FBS, or 5% HSA) must be added. For serum-free experimental requirements, a 5% trehalose solution can be used as an alternative carrier. |
Storage
Store at -25 to -15°C. Valid for 1 year from receipt. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8°C for up to 7 days, or at -85 to -65°C for up to 3 months. To avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, we recommend aliquoting the protein upon first use.
