Serum-Free Cell Store Freezing (for Stem Cells, DMSO-Free) is a specialized cryopreservation medium designed for a wide range of stem cells and cell lines. It is chemically defined, serum-free, protein-free, DMSO-free, and free of animal-derived components. The formulation consists of cryoprotectants, inorganic salts, sugars, and other defined ingredients to support high post-thaw viability and functionality of sensitive stem cells.
Features
- Chemically defined formulation – free of animal-derived components and exogenous proteins.
- Serum- and protein-free – contains no bovine serum or other proteins, eliminating the risk of introducing contaminants to cell stocks.
- Advanced cryoprotection formula – enables direct placement of cells into a –70°C (or –80°C) freezer without the need for controlled-rate or stepwise cooling.

Post-thaw viability of cells cryopreserved at 5 × 10⁶ cells/mL using different freezing media. Results show that Yeasen’s DMSO-free formulation provides comparable or superior viability compared to both DMSO-containing and DMSO-free formulations from Supplier A*. This highlights Yeasen’s effectiveness in maintaining cell viability without the use of DMSO.
