BTN2A1, also known as butyrophilin subfamily 2 member A1, is a protein that belongs to the butyrophilin family. It is primarily expressed in mammary gland epithelial cells and plays a role in lactation. BTN2A1 is involved in the synthesis and secretion of milk fat globules, which are essential for providing nutrition to newborns.

Recombinant Human BTN2A1 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag at the C-terminal. It contains Gln29-Ala248.

Molecular Weight

The protein has a predicted MW of 25.64 kDa. And it migrates as 30-50 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Purity

> 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Endotoxin

< 1 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
