Beschreibung
Tag antigens are widely used in recombinant protein detection for immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunoaffinity techniques due to their small molecular weight and minimal impact on fusion protein activity. The Flag tag is one of the most commonly used tag systems in recombinant protein research. It utilizes a short hydrophilic octapeptide (DYKDDDDK) fused to the N-terminus or C-terminus of the target protein, and can be subsequently removed by enterokinase. Flag antibodies can be used to detect the expression and intracellular localization of Flag-tagged fusion proteins, as well as for purification and qualitative or quantitative analysis.
