Product introduction
This kit contains recombinant human M-CSF and human RANKL, which are used to induce the differentiation of human-derived precursor cells (such as THP-1 or PBMC) into osteoclasts capable of mature bone-resorbing activity.
M-CSF (macrophage colony-stimulating factor) supports the survival and proliferation of precursor cells and endows them with the potential to differentiate into osteoclasts; it serves as a "permissive" signal for differentiation. RANKL (receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand) is the decisive signal that drives the terminal differentiation and fusion of osteoclasts, activating downstream key transcriptional programs such as NFATc1.
The M-CSF and RANKL included in this kit feature high activity, high purity, and low endotoxin levels. This kit efficiently induces the differentiation of precursor cells into osteoclasts, yielding large numbers of multinucleated, TRAP-positive mature osteoclasts.

Before opening the vial, centrifuge briefly. Reconstitute the lyophilized protein using distilled water at a concentration of 0.5 mg/mL. For first-time use, we recommend aliquoting the protein into portions suitable for each experiment to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage Conditions
Store at -85°C to -65°C. After receipt, the shelf life is 1 year. Once reconstituted, store under sterile conditions at -85°C to -65°C with a shelf life of 3 months.
