Bsu DNA polymerase (Large Fragment) is derived from Bacillus subtilis. This enzyme retains the 5′-to-3′ polymerase activity of Bsu DNA polymerase I but lacks the 5′-to-3′ exonuclease domain. The large fragment itself lacks 3′-to-5′ exonuclease activity. It is a DNA isothermal amplification polymerase with strand-displacement activity and is mainly used in Recombinase Polymerase Amplification (RPA).

• Due to the lack of 3′-to-5′ exonuclease activity, Bsu DNA polymerase (Large Fragment) cannot remove unpaired 3′ overhangs and is therefore not suitable for generating blunt ends.
• At 25°C, Bsu DNA polymerase (Large Fragment) retains 50% activity, which is twice that of Klenow Fragment (3′-to-5′ exo-) at the same temperature.
• Storage buffer: 25 mM Tris-HCl, 50 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 50% Glycerol, pH 7.4 at 25°C.
• Heat inactivation: 75°C for 20 min.

Store at -25°C to -15°C. The shelf life is 2 years.
