Description
Interleukin-1β (IL-1β) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by a variety of cells, including monocytes, tissue macrophages, keratinocytes, and other epithelial cells. IL-1α and IL-1β bind to the same receptor and exhibit similar biological properties, although they are not entirely identical. These cytokines display a broad spectrum of activities, including stimulating thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, promoting B cell maturation and proliferation, exhibiting mitogenic FGF-like activity, and inducing the release of prostaglandins and collagenases from synovial cells.
This recombinant human IL-1β is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It features high activity, high purity, low endotoxin levels, and is tag-free.

Storage
This product should be stored at -25~-15℃ for 1 year. Once reconstituted under sterile conditions, it can be stored at 2 ~ 8°C for 7 days, or at -85 to -65°C for 3 months.
Reconstitution Instructions
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to pellet the contents at the bottom. Reconstitute with sterile deionized water to a final concentration of 0.1–1.0 mg/mL. Further dilution can be performed as needed for downstream applications. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (e.g., 0.1% BSA) to the dilution buffer. Aliquot the solution into single-use portions and store at -80°C to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
