Description

Aprotinin, also known as Iniprol, is a competitive, reversible serine protease inhibitor that forms stable complexes with serine proteases, blocking the active sites of these enzymes. This binding is reversible; most Aprotinin-protease complexes dissociate under extreme pH conditions (pH<3.0). Aprotinin inhibits chymotrypsin, trypsin, plasmin, and kallikrein but does not inhibit Factor Xa and thrombin. Structurally, Aprotinin is a monomeric globular protein derived from bovine lung, consisting of 58 amino acids arranged in a single polypeptide chain with three cross-linked disulfide bonds.

Yeasen's recombinant Aprotinin is produced in E. coli under GMP regulations, free from any animal-derived components, eliminating the risk of contamination with animal-derived viruses. Its amino acid sequence is identical to that of bovine lung-derived Aprotinin, exhibiting the same enzymatic properties and can be used as a substitute for animal-derived Aprotinin in various biotechnological processes, such as inhibition of serine protease activity in recombinant protein production and cell culture.

Additionally, Yeasen offers Aprotinin sourced from bovine lung (Cat#20105ES, animal-derived).
