Description
Hieff Unicon™ Hotstart J-Taq DNA Polymerase, Glycerol-free (40 U/μL) is a hot-start DNA polymerase. This product utilizes antibody-mediated inhibition, providing high amplification sensitivity and specificity. The inhibitory antibody is completely inactivated and the DNA polymerase activity is fully released after a 30-second heat activation step at the initial denaturation temperature. Using this hot-start Taq enzyme effectively suppresses non-specific amplification caused by primer mis-annealing. This glycerol-free formulation is specifically designed for lyophilized reagent preparation.

The glycerol-free enzyme showed the same amplification performance as the glycerol-containing enzyme across COVID-19 pseudovirus templates (105–103 copies/mL). After 54 days at 37 °C, its performance remained unchanged, confirming excellent thermal stability.
