MK-2206 2HCl is an orally active and selective Akt inhibitor with IC50 values of 8 nM/12 nM/65 nM for Akt1/2/3 in cell-free assays; MK-2206 2HCl is the first small molecule allosteric inhibitor of Akt to enter clinical investigation. MK-2206 2HCl induces apoptosis and autophagy in tumor cells.
