In the vast field of biomedical research and application, cell viability detection has always been a focal point for researchers and clinical workers. The vitality state of cells directly affects the accuracy of experimental results, the effectiveness of drug screening, and the reliability of disease diagnosis.
ATP is the fundamental source of cellular energy and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes within cells. It is an important indicator of cellular metabolism. When cells die, ATP rapidly hydrolyzes. Therefore, there is a good linear relationship between ATP content and the number of living cells.
ATP can be quantified by measuring the intensity of chemiluminescence through the ATP-dependent luciferase-catalyzed luciferin luminescent reaction. Since ATP content can well reflect the number of living cells and there is a direct proportionality between ATP content and chemiluminescence intensity, it is simple to calculate cell viability or cell numbers through the intensity of chemiluminescence.
Yeasen is proud to introduce the ATP Luminescent Cell Viability Detection Kit 2.0 (Cat#40211ES). Compared with similar products, this kit has particularly stable luminescence signals. Within one hour, the signal fluctuation range is usually no more than ±10%, with a half-life as long as 3 hours. Moreover, the storage stability is excellent—the kit can maintain over 90% activity when stored at room temperature for 30 days or at 2-8℃ for 60 days.
Product Features
1. Wide Linear Range: In a 96-well plate, there is a good linear relationship between 100 and 20,000 cells, although the upper limit of detectable cell numbers may vary for different cell types.
2. Convenient to Use: The kit is easy to operate. The reagents provided in the kit are ready-to-use. The readings are stable, and the detection speed is fast. The entire detection process takes only about 10 minutes. There is no need to wash the cells or replace or remove the culture medium.
3. Excellent Stability: With a half-life as long as 3 hours, the kit can maintain over 90% activity when stored at room temperature for 30 days or at 2-8℃ for 60 days.

FAQ
Q: Can this kit be observed and photographed under a fluorescence microscope?
A: No. The kit relies on a chemiluminescent detection principle.
Q: Is it strictly limited to 96-well plates? After lysis in a larger plate, can I transfer the lysate to a 96-well plate for measurement? Will this affect the results?
A: The reagent volume is added at a 1:1 ratio with the cell suspension. If you switch to a larger plate, simply adjust the reagent volume accordingly. Transferring the lysate afterward will not affect the outcome.
Q: How many assays can be performed with 10 mL?
A: 100 tests.
